​Does it hurt?

​

Most clients describe it as mildly irritating but not very painful — though everyone's pain tolerance is different. We always have numbing agents on hand if needed, but our technique is so gentle that most clients don't need any numbing at all. If you've had painful microblading before, this will feel like night and day — a complete breeze in comparison.​

Can I wear makeup to my appointment? 

 

Absolutely! You're welcome to arrive with your usual makeup — especially how you normally do your brows. It helps your 
artist see what you’re used to. We’ll remove any makeup in the treatment area before starting, but feel free to bring a 
few touch-up items for after photos

Can I get PMU if I’m allergic to dyes (ie: hair dye or food dyes)?

 

Most likely, yes. Tattoo pigments are very different from cosmetic dyes — and our PMU pigments don’t contain PPD, the common allergen found in hair dye. If you’ve had a body tattoo without issue, that’s a good sign. If you’re unsure or have sensitive skin, we can arrange a patch test for peace of mind.​

Will I still be able to get an MRI?

 

Yes — permanent makeup won’t prevent you from getting an MRI. We use premium-quality pigments that are considered MRI-safe. In rare cases, pigments containing iron oxides may cause slight warmth or tingling during a scan. It’s nothing to worry about, but always let your MRI technician know you have cosmetic or body tattoos.

Can you touch up my brows done by another artist?

 

If your brows were done by another artist, we treat it as a new client and a full initial treatment — not a touch-up. Even with well-done previous work, we're working blind on pigment choices and healing history, which actually makes it more technically demanding, not less. A touch-up appointment will still be needed afterward, just like with any new client. If some corrective work is needed, it's always at no extra charge, and we'll always give you honest advice if removal is recommended first to get the results we're known for. And if you need removal, we offer a credit towards your new brows through our Fresh Start program (see next question).

How do I get rid of an unsatisfactory brow job done by another artist?

 

We offer in-house saline removal, and sometimes a combination of saline and laser (through one of our approved providers) gets the best results. If removal is needed before we can work on you, you'll receive a $100 credit toward your new brows through our Fresh Start Program — complete saline removal with us or laser removal with one of our approved providers, get Laura's approval that your canvas is ready, and the credit applies within 4 months of your last removal session. You've already been through enough — let's get you the brows you should've had the first time.

Will it affect my natural brow hair or do you have to shave it off?

 

Not at all — we work with the brow hair you have! In fact, many clients find it encourages more mindful grooming and helps them grow their natural shape in. 

 

Will I still have to tint or put makeup on my brows?

​

That depends! If your natural brow hair is very light or you have noticeable gray or white hairs, you may still want to tint. And if you have sparse areas next to naturally dense hair, you might choose to add a touch of makeup — since pigment sits beneath the skin and not on top like makeup and hair, it won’t replace the look of actual hair in those areas. That said, most clients find they no longer need daily brow products — and for those who do, having the shape makes it a breeze.​​​
